Cookie Policy
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, so you don't have to re-enter them whenever you return.
This Cookie Policy explains how UPVIS GROUP LLC ("UpVision", "we") uses cookies and similar technologies on upvision.fr (the "Site").
2. Cookies We Use
UpVision uses strictly essential (technical) cookies, and — only with your prior consent — audience-measurement cookies (Google Analytics 4). We do not use advertising, retargeting, or social-media tracking cookies.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Consent required |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookie (e.g. PHPSESSID) | Maintains your browsing session, secures the order process and protects forms against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) | Session, deleted when the browser closes | No, exempt under ePrivacy |
| uv_consent | Stores your cookie choice (accept / reject) so the banner is not shown again | 6 months (local storage) | No, exempt (records your choice) |
| _ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics 4) | Anonymous audience measurement: number of visitors, pages viewed, traffic sources, to help us improve the Site | Up to 13 months | Yes, set only after you accept |
Because this cookie is strictly necessary for the Site to function and to keep your transactions secure, it is exempt from prior consent under the ePrivacy Directive and CNIL guidelines.
3. Third-Party Cookies
The Site uses Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Limited) to measure audience and usage. These cookies are loaded only after you accept them via the consent banner, and IP addresses are anonymised. The Site does not use advertising or social-media tracking cookies.
When you proceed to payment, you are redirected to the secure checkout page of our payment service provider. That provider may set its own strictly necessary cookies for fraud prevention and transaction security, on its own domain and under its own privacy policy.
4. Your Choices
On your first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or reject audience-measurement cookies. No measurement cookie is set before you accept; rejecting is as easy as accepting, and your choice is kept for 6 months.
You can change your choice at any time using the button below:
You can also view, manage, or delete cookies through your browser settings (see section 5). Please note that disabling essential cookies may prevent the order process from working correctly.
5. Browser Settings
Most browsers also allow you to manage cookies directly. Refer to your browser's documentation:
6. "Do Not Track" Signal
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. As there is currently no industry-wide standard for handling DNT signals, the Site does not respond to them. You can manage your cookie preferences as described above.
7. Policy Updates
This Cookie Policy may be updated periodically. Updates are published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
